FRENCH COLLECTION

The initial core of the donation of the Marie Blanche Sarika family includes a considerable number of books in the French language. The French collection of the library motivated a centre for the promotion of the French language and culture. To this end, the library cooperates with the borough of Brive-la-Gaillarde, and the library of that city, which is today the capital of the book in France.  Projected common endeavors involve cultural and educational activities of mutual interest, cultural interactions, book exchanges and initiatives, in cooperation with French nationality and French-speaking volunteers who live in the wider area.
